Logo Design Process
Curious about the process of a logo design project? Read below!
Step 1
LOGO DESIGN WORKSHEET
The first step to working on a logo design project with me is to fill out my logo design worksheet. I will send this to you through dropbox sign. You can view and fill it out from your computer or phone. It will ask a series of questions about your logo preferences. For example: What colors do you like? What logo styles do you like? Who is your competition?
Step 2
LOGO LIKES & DISLIKES
After you complete the logo design worksheet, I will ask you to visit a website, logopond.com. While you are on this website, I would like for you to grab some samples of logos you like, and logos you don’t like. They do not have to be in your category at all. I am simply looking for a style or aesthetic that you gravitate towards, while also getting an understanding of what you do not like so I can steer clear.
Step 3
MY TURN
Now that I have your logo design worksheet and your logo samples, it is time for me start designing! This process typically takes about 2-3 weeks, depending on my current project schedule.
Step 4
DESIGN REVIEW
Once I have my logo designs ready to share with you, I will reach out to schedule a meeting with you. During our meeting, I will email the logo designs to you so we can review them together by phone. The goal of this meeting is for me to share with you my thoughts, ideas, and reasons behind each concept. You do not have to make any decisions during this call. Feel free to think about it and get back to me when you are ready!
Step 5
CHANGES
It is common to have some edits you want to make to the logo concepts. This can be color, arrangement, or typography. Each logo project allots for two rounds of changes.
Step 6
FINAL FILES
Now that you have selected the logo you want to use, I will provide to you all of your final files. This will include:
- JPEG: General use file
- PNG: Transparent background file
- EPS: Your live, vector artwork. (Very important!)
